The inspection was led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Abdul Ganiyu Ibrahim, and the Presiding Member, Hon. Ismail Abdul Razak, alongside Assembly Members.

The team inspected a number of projects, including boreholes, the Nima Roundabout beautification project, classroom blocks, the proposed STEM School site, footbridges, toilet facilities, drainage and road works, as well as the KAWUKUDI Astro Turf and other infrastructure projects.

The exercise focused on assessing the progress, quality and pace of work, particularly on projects that are ongoing or have stalled.

The Assembly urged contractors to adhere to agreed timelines and complete projects within schedule. Chiefs, religious leaders and residents were also encouraged to take ownership of development projects within their communities to promote their completion, maintenance and long-term sustainability.

According to the Assembly, findings from the inspection will serve as a basis for making informed decisions and prioritising projects during the Revised Budget process scheduled for next month.
