The Regional Director noted that his outfit provided healthcare for the underprivileged in some parts of Ghana, provided water in the drought stricken areas of the country, and supported widows and vulnerable people with micro economic projects.

"It is the vision of DAS to help the most vulnerable in Africa through its developmental projects and emergency response activities. We ensure that the aid is sustainable and tailored the needs of society"

DAS aspires to empower others to generate their own income, become self-reliant, and rely on their full potential to attain a decent livelihood. This has been done in over 30 African countries" he added.

The Ghana - Country Head of Human Resource, Mr Sulleyman Adam, said DAS has formed 'eye camps' in 28 countries in Africa, distributed thousands of eye glasses to the needy and implemented thousands of medical lenses.

He indicated that Direct Aid has expanded its health programme to combat blindness in Africa, and joined the Alliance to Fight Avoidable Blindness (AFAB). The Head of HR stated that AFAB was led by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD).
