Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai MCE dies in gory accident

The Municipal Chief Executive of Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai in the Western North Region, Alfred Amoah, has been confirmed dead after his official vehicle was involved in a gory accident which occurred on the Accra-Kumasi High Way.

The MCE died on the spot together with his driver after he reportedly suffered severe head injuries in the accident which happened around Old Tafo Junction at about 6:45pm on July 12, 2022.

The late MCE was returning from a meeting in Accra before the sad incident occurred.

According to sources, three separate vehicles including the MCE’s official vehicle crashed leading to his untimely death.

The vehicles include; a fuel tanker with registration number GN-8549 –X, a trailer vehicle also with registration number AS 4229 –X and the MCE’s official car with registration number GN 2060 -18.

Meanwhile, the Police have since launched investigation to ascertain the actual cause of the gory incident.
