Offinso North Assembly staff builds capacity

A one day capacity building workshop has been organized for the management staffs of the Offinso North Assembly to stimulate discussion on the importance of documentation and record keeping and the need to practice it in order to facilitate work.

The facilitator of the workshop, Mr. Daniel Okity Boamah in his presentation said the workshop sought to increase management staff understanding and also acquire more techniques to engender improved performance and productivity.

He explained that documentation and record keeping is one of the headache of local government service and called of the participants to use this workshop to redefine their roles as professionals to enhance proper documentation and record keeping to ensure that a set of qualities or abilities that managers should possess in order to accomplish green tasks in the various assembles.



The facilitator also gave some tips for successful documentation and record keeping efforts to the participant saying that the procedure, specification, drawing and work instruction or manual should be factual, accurate, and complete, organized and also avoids abbreviations, slang or jargon as much as possible.

The District Coordinating Director, Mrs. Victoria Achaa expressed optimism that the workshop would bring about some improvement in the performance of management staff in the way they handle the documents and record keeping in the Assembly.

He used the occasion to underscore the need for staff to take the workshop serious in order to go through procedures very well to ensure effective documentation and record keeping in the assembly to pave way for effective accessibility.
