She was accompanied by the Heads of Department of the Assembly. The visit aimed to assess urgent local needs and provide a platform for direct interaction with residents and opinion leaders.

At Odumakye, Hon. Ankrah presented 100 bags of fertilizer and five boxes of weedicides to support local farmers during the current farming season. The donation was warmly received, with residents expressing deep appreciation to the assembly for prioritising their agricultural welfare. The DCE noted that the gesture formed part of a broader plan to boost food production and improve rural livelihoods.

Addressing community concerns, Hon. Ankrah responded to complaints about the poor state of the Odumakye access roads. She assured residents that the assembly would reshape the roads using the District Roads Improvement Programme (DRIP) machinery to ease transportation of farm produce and enhance rural mobility.

The people of Odumakye also appealed for the legalisation of their sand weaning site, lamenting that contractors extracting sand from the area provided no benefit to the community. In response, the DCE pledged to engage the relevant authorities to regularise sand mining operations and ensure locals derived economic benefits.

In Ankaase, the DCE and her team inspected the town’s refuse dump, which residents described as a major health hazard. Hon. Ankrah acknowledged the seriousness of the sanitation challenge and promised immediate action to address the situation, reaffirming the Assembly’s commitment to public health.

At the Ankaase Police Station, Inspector Botwe briefed her on critical logistical challenges, including a broken-down patrol vehicle—originally donated by the area’s MP—and a shortage of personnel. The DCE pledged to lobby for a new vehicle and advocate for additional police officers to be posted to the area to bolster security.

As part of her engagements, Hon. Ankrah appealed to the traditional leaders (Nananom) of Ankaase to release land for the construction of the Ankaase SDA Senior High School. She emphasised that education remained a top priority for the assembly and assured them of government support to make the project a reality.

In her address to the chiefs and residents, Hon. Ankrah reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to inclusive development. She urged the people to remain united, peaceful, and cooperative with the District Assembly, stressing that sustainable progress thrives on strong community collaboration.

The visit was widely welcomed by residents of both Ankaase and Odumakye, who expressed optimism that the DCE’s promises would come to fruition. The field tour underscored Hon. Ankrah’s proactive leadership style and hands-on approach to local governance.
