Addressing the Media, Mr. Oppong said, the hearing of neglect of any cocoa farmer during this Mass cocoa spraying exercise programme should be a thing of the past and should be transparent manner and devoid of any news of discrimination.

He stressed that farmers who claimed to own cocoa farms and received the chemicals, fuel products and materials but did not have should desist from that.

Mr Franccis Oppong issued the warning when he was addressing the Dormaa West District Cocoa mass sprayers at an event organized by District Cocoa Health Extension Division at Nkrankwanta.

The DCE entreats the gangs to be transparent, very professional, and respect the rights of the cocoa farmers.

He noted that he was not armed with chair DCE and that he would be actively involved in many projects and programs that would be carried out within his jurisdiction and promised to support the spraying team to spray the farmers to achieve the targeted results.

He stated that the president is poised to ensure cocoa production is increased to attract more foreign support to boost the industry, adding that farmer’s motivation and other assistance are being pursued.
