The District Chief Executive of the assembly, Daniel Kwame Gariba in an interview after visiting the nursery said, the objective is to make Agriculture the main economic booster, produce and disseminate complete and reliable Agricultural information to farmers for sustainable agriculture development particularly in rural areas.

He further said the assembly has launched a special initiative under which cashew seedlings would be distributed to farmers for planting this season to boost cashew production in the district.

Additionally, they would continue to work hard to woo more investors to establish businesses in the area to create wealth and jobs for the people.

He said the district intends to expand cashew production as one of the main economic crops taking advantage of the favorable conditions the government is making available, and indicated that the seedlings are needed for distribution to those farmers who will need it in order to achieve their goal.

A team from the Assembly observed with Joy that the seedlings are almost ready for supply when they visited the nursery site.
