According to the DCE, this is very critical as it would help address the unemployment issues in the district.

He made these remarks in an interview when the Government Assurance Committee of Parliament paid a working visit to B5 Plus Company under the One District One Factory which had employed thousands of indigenes of Ningo-Prampram on Tuesday 11th of February 2020.

In addition, he revealed that there are lands that are investor-friendly and encourage investors to take advantage of that and come over to Ningo-Prampram since Tema and Accra are chucked.

As to what is being done to address issues of constant electricity supply and water for more companies to be located in the district, he noted that a transformer is being erected to ensure that there is constant supply of electricity and Ghana Water Company has been approached which has the capacity to supply water in large volumes to the industries that would be established in the district.

This follows complain over erratic power supply to the factory by the Chief Executive Officer of B5 Plus Limited, manufactures and exporters of steels, Mike Thakwani.

Another issue that came up strongly was land litigation that B5 plus complain about, DCE Doku noted that the issues are in court and as government appointee, there is nothing he can do about it, but was quick to point out that Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) will help address the issue.

“We are encouraging the families to result to ADRs because most of the time it is a sister and brother fight with one saying he or she is in the right position to give the land out, we need jobs for our people when we stop these things it would help us”, he lamented

The land issues do not fall within the domain of the government appointee and most of this cases we have them at the court and we do not control the courts, we talk to the people litigating to go through ADRs, adding that most of the cases when you into them are people of close blood relations, as such they are one working to resolve them.
