The Ahenbronoso Circuit was inaugurated Sunday within the newly built church auditorium at Ahenbronoso, a suburb of Berekum, with Very Rev. Alexander Addae as the newly commissioned Superintendent Minister to steer the affairs of the circuit.

The inauguration ceremony was under the auspices of The Right Rev. Daniel K. Tannor, Bishop of the Sunyani Diocese of The Methodist Church Ghana.

Inducting members of the committees and officers of the Ahenbronoso Circuit into office, the Diocesan Bishop revealed that the creation of the new circuit was necessitated by the fulfilment of the expansion of the Kingdom of God, the Great Commission of Christ, and to ensure easy and smooth administration of the circuit.

In a sermon delivered on the occasion dubbed, "The Christian Life," based on the Great Confession of Peter as stated categorically in Matthew 16:13-19, Rt. Rev. Daniel K. Tannor admonished the congregation to let their lights shine before their neighbours by leading lives worthy of emulation so as to win souls for the kingdom of God.

V. Rev. John Baidoo, Superintendent Minister of the parent church, Berekum Circuit, noted that the creation of the Circuit was subjected to critical scrutiny and heralded by widespread moral support with mutual benefit as its hallmark.

He reiterated the Church's total commitment, collaboration and wherewithal from the top hierarchy down to all the ten (10) societies within the new circuit to deliver with superb artistry.

Brother Williams Owusu Acheaw, Founding Member and First Circuit Steward of the Ahenbronoso Circuit, enumerated the 10 societies forming the new circuit as Akroforo Wesley, Aldersgate, Ebenezer, Kotaa Wesley, Kutre/Mpatapo, Miracle, Mpatasie Paradise, Namasua Emmanuel, Papaase Dunwell and Wharton Societies.

He disclosed to ghanadistricts.com that the inauguration of the Ahenbronoso Circuit brought to five (5) the number of circuits sprung up from the Berekum Circuit ever since it broke out from the Sunyani Section, later circuit, and, approved in 1961 with Rev. K. A. Boateng as the first Superintendent Minister.

Bro. Akyeaw giving the list of the 'sectional daughters' of the Berekum circuit as Jinijini, Japekrom, Seikwa, Abisaase and Ahenbronoso, added that Wharton Section of the Berekum Circuit, which has currently been raised to the status of the Ahenbronoso Circuit, was initially under the instrumentality of Bro. Hayford Boateng Osei who created the Wharton Society, and Bro. Asiedu Anthony who mooted the idea in 2013 when he was being inducted into office as the Steward of the Wharton Chapel.
