The exercise was led by the Municipal Chief Executive, with active participation from residents, Assembly Members, and staff of the Keta Municipal Assembly. Participants came together to desilt drains, clear weeds, collect refuse, and clean public spaces within the selected communities.
Speaking during the exercise, municipal officials underscored the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a clean environment, noting that regular sanitation activities are essential to preventing sanitation-related diseases and improving overall public health.
Residents commended the Assembly for leading the initiative and pledged their commitment to sustaining cleanliness in their communities beyond the National Sanitation Day activities.
