The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Samuel Adongo, presented the equipment and urged the beneficiaries to use the tools judiciously to build sustainable businesses. He emphasized that the initiative aims to foster economic empowerment and financial independence.
“Use these tools for their intended purpose to grow your ventures. This support is designed to enhance your standard of living and contribute to the socio-economic development of your communities,” Hon. Adongo stated.

The items distributed included four hairdryers, one makeup kit, six sewing machines, two tile-cutting machines, and three sets of fabrication tools.
Madam Morrison Asiedua, Head of the Ghana Enterprise Agency in the municipality, highlighted that routine monitoring would be conducted to ensure the equipment is used as intended. She reiterated the government’s commitment to seeing the beneficiaries succeed.
“We will follow up to ensure these tools help grow your businesses. Let it be clear: these items are for work, not for sale. Anyone found selling them will face legal consequences,” Madam Asiedua cautioned.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Madam Abigail Amoako expressed gratitude to the government, the GEA, and the Municipal Chief Executive for the support. She pledged that the artisans would use the tools responsibly to develop their trades.
The beneficiaries were selected from Akwadum, Oyoko, Suhyen, Asokore, and Effiduase.
