Banda MP supports constituents

The items he presented included spraying machines and agrochemicals to support farmers in the various communities. The legislature also donated six thousand pairs of footwear to basic school pupils in the constituency to lessen the burden of parents and guardians.
To support senior high school education in the constituency, the Member of Parliament from his share of the Ghana Education Trust Fund has also paid the school fees of students from the area at the Bandaman Senior High School whose parents are unable to pay their fees.
Addressing various gathering during the donation of the items, the Member of Parliament charged the pupils and students to study hard since according to him the Banda District can only be assured of a brilliant future if the youth are educated and empowered.
He assured pupils and students of his support to anybody who excel in their examination.
He appealed to parents and guardians to play their respective role to compliment government efforts to develop the human resource base of the District.
He added that government over the last seven years has provided the needed educational infrastructure in the District to ensure quality teaching and learning.
He appealed to teachers in the deprived communities in the District to show commitment to their work since the Banda District in the next four years will devote much resources into constructing teachers accommodation.
The Banda legislature reminded the various communities to work towards sustaining the peace in the District during the December elections.
He urged the communities to compare the development they have witnessed under the ruling National Democratic Congress government (NDC) and opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and vote those basis.
He said the National Democratic Congress government has brought much development to Ghanaians and the Banda people in particular and appealed to them to vote for the NDC in the Parliamentary and Presidential Elections in December.
On his part, the District Chief Executive for Banda, Mr. Jacob Boateng assured the people of his commitment to ensure the development of every community in the District and appealed to the people to support government’s effort.
The Chief of Nyire, Nana Kofi Bankama was full of praise for the government and the Member of Parliament for the gesture and the numerous developmental projects in the community.
