JAMAN N: 264 laptops distributed to 11 schools

Parents, school children and entire folks in the Jaman North District of the Brong Ahafo Region were in high spirit when a durbar was held at Sampa for the distribution of 264 Better Ghana free laptop computers to eleven (11) schools in the area.

Parents, school children and entire folks in the Jaman North District of the Brong Ahafo Region were in high spirit when a durbar was held at Sampa for the distribution of 264 Better Ghana free laptop computers to eleven (11) schools in the area.

By basic calculation each of the schools comprising Junior and Senior High schools received twenty four (24) each of the ICT facility at the durbar.

Some of the beneficiary schools include Jamera, juabeso, Goka, Kabili, Duadaso, Suma experimental JHS among others.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com the District Chief Executive, Hajia Amina Amadu said the facility will really go a long way in improving the teaching and learning of ICT in the district.

She noted the initiative to be in line with the Better Ghana agenda aimed at creating the enabling environment for the pupils to improve their knowledge of ICT in the wake of the digital age.

She said ICT serves as a means through which people see the world and its progression at a glance.

For this reason Hajia reiterated, “Before you talk about giving free education, you have to first help better the educational system hence the distribution of the laptops,” she added.
