Teachers and students alike were in high spirits when President John Mahama commissioned a new girls dormitory for the Agotime Senior High School (Agosec) in the Agotime Ziope District formerly known as Adaklu-Anyigbe in the Volta Region.

They were very happy because that was the first time a sitting president has visited them since independence.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony however, President Mahama promised to absorb the Ziope SHS, which is currently managed privately, onto the public schools system for them to benefit from infrastructural projects.

He however reitereated governments plans of initiating about 200 Senior High Schools by next year 2013.

In order to show appreciation to the president, residents of both towns who graced the occasion threw their support for President Mahama and the NDC government and promised to vote for them massively in the upcoming general elections.
