The Chief Executive of Juaboso, Mr. Solomon Fuachie, has gladly welcomed the Better Ghana Youth Caravan into the Western Region.

The Better Ghana Youth Caravan Project 2011 is an initiative by the National Youth Authority (NYA) which was launched in August this year to tour all the Regions in the country with the view of creating awareness and sensitizing communities especially the youth on drug abuse, HIV/AIDs, conflict resolution and peace building.

The project which is an rlg Communications sponsored initiative is part of activities to climax the launch of the Youth Parliament in November this year to empower the youth in governance.

In welcoming them, Mr. Fuachie said development is a collective responsiblity and not for only a selected few adding that the youth should eschew immoral activities and uphold practices such as that of the NYA to make the raise the voice of the youth by launching a National Youth Parliament.

The DCE observed that for the youth to help in development, they should uphold the tenets of the agenda of the National Youth Authority (NYA) since the success of the country depends on them.

Meanwhile the Caravan toured most parts of the country including Tamale and is expected to return to Accra to climax the launch of the National Youth Parliament on 1st of November 2011.
