The Takoradi Circuit court has granted Emmanuel Ayah and David Gorman Hammond bail in the sum of GH¢40,000 with two sureties for their alleged involvement in the Juaboso fraud case.

The court presided by Justice Kwasi Boakye ordered the accused persons to report to the Police Team investigating the case every Tuesday at 0930 hours.

The court, however, remanded, Nana Kwasi Otchere, who is jointly charged with the accused persons.

The Prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Mr Richard Boatey pleaded with the court to adjourn the trial for investigation into the case to be completed.

Justice Kwasi Boakye noted that, the Attorney General and Minister of Justice had great interest in the case and therefore urged the investigate team to fast track the investigations.

Nana Otchere allegedly posed as a contractor who had executed a contract on behalf of the district assembly and connived with some officials of the assembly to cash GH¢ 37, 000 at the Takoradi Branch of the Bank of Ghana.

He was arrested when the District Chief Executive, Hon. Solomon Fuachie whose signature was forged on the cheque was alerted.

The case was adjourned to October 18.
