The South Tongu District Chief Executive, Hon. Daniel K. Ametorku has expressed satisfaction at the just ended Volta Investment Fair held in the Regional Capital, Ho to showcase the investment potentials of the region.

He described the fair as impressive and a wake up call to many of the districts and individuals to strive hard to move their districts forward.

Mr. Ametorku said their interractions with other perticipants accorded them the opportunity to learn about new technologies which his assembly found interesting and useful and is commited to implementing some of them for a better and impressive results in the agriculture sector.

He mentioned specifically an innovation method of growing cassava and a technology  for processing it, which he identified as a product from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and one from the Akatsi District. These two technologies he stated will go a long way to help farmers especially those into cassava cultivation.

The DCE also added that the assembly has already ear-marked some areas for cultivation where some of these technologies will be applied.

He however, identified financial constraints and time as some of the major challenges faced by the assembly towards the fair indicating that the assembly used about GH¢10,000.00 in sponsoring participants from the district to the fair.

He thus appealed to organizers of the fair to inform assemblies earlier the next time round to enable them prepare adequately and effectively.
