(SOGAKOPE) SOUTH TONGU : Sogakope to get fish farm

The Men’s Fellowship of the East-Ghana Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, is to establish a big fish farming project at Sogakope in the Volta Region.

The Men’s Fellowship of the East-Ghana Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, is to establish a big fish farming project at Sogakope in the Volta Region.
    
To this end, a land for the 30,000 Ghana Cedis project has already been acquired.
     
The Head of the East-Ghana Conference of the Church, Reverend Charles Gbagbo, who disclosed this said the Church has established more than 50 basic schools in the East-Ghana Conference operational area.

According to him, the church has also established two Senior High Schools and a Vocational Training Institute in the Volta Region to promote education.
  
Rev. Gbagbo said that plans are underway to improve the infrastructural conditions of the oldest training college established by the Church in the Volta Region in 1937.
  
He called for assistance from individuals, organizations and the Government to supplement their efforts at improving the lives of people in the area through the establishments of the planned fish farm and educational institutions in the area.

Rev. Gbagbo said that, the establishment of the fish farm would provide employment opportunities for jobless school leavers in the area.
