The Volta Regional Secretary of the Ghana Association of the Physically Challenged, Mr Edwin Avornyo, has disclosed that disbursement of the two percent of common fund meant for the physically challenged is being hampered by multiplicity of  associations of the physically challenged.

He appealed to the physically challenged to guard against the formation of splinter associations which tended to weaken their front in the fight for their rights and wellbeing.

Mr Avornyo advised them to fight for job protection under the law and stop begging.

The Akatsi District Chief Executive, Mr Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, appealed to the physically challenged to see themselves as having the potential to be as productive as others and therefore apply themselves to productive activities.
