District Officials joined pupils in various schools to mark  "My First day at school" in  the Dangme East district in the Greater Accra region.

The occasion offers an opportunity for new pupils to be welcomed and encouraged to attend school at the beginning of a new school year.

Officials present at the various schools included the Assembly man, Mr. Samuel Portorphy, the Regional Education Director, Mrs. Ernestina Akosa Anim and some pupil teachers and head teachers.

Reports indicate that, the Big Ada Methodist Basic School for instance,  registered five new males and ten females at the  Kindergarten class whilst six new males and six females also reported for primary one classes.

Forteen males and eleven females also reported for kindergarten classes at the Big Ada D/A school whilst an encouraging number of Fifteen males and twenty females reported to the primary classes.
