About 800 youh are expected to be engaged under the agric module of the National Youth Employment Programme in the Saboba District this year.

The high number according to the District Youth Employment Coordinator, Mr Kofi Kumah Peter is to produce enough food to feed the people in the district and other parts of the country.

"Last year we had poor harvest due to the flood, but hope things go well for us this season".  

Other modules including teaching assistance, health extension workers, waste and sanitation management corps are performing well, adding that most people expressed satisfaction on their performances.

He further announced that proposals have been sent to the Ministry of Manpower, Youth and Employment for additional modules to be started.

Mr Kofi Kumah suggestered that in-service training be organised for teaching assistants to equip them with the required basic skills.
