SHAMA: Assembly constructs school blocks to improve edu

In a bid to improve teaching and learning in the district, the Shama district Assembly in the Western region, is putting some school blocks in some selected communities across the district.

Communities including Anto-Abosso and Assorko are said to be beneficiaries of these interventions by the Assembly.

At Anto-Abosso, the Assembly has constructed a three-unit kindergarten classroom block for the school pupils.

Funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), Assorko, a farming community also benefited from a similar 3-unit classroom block to help improve education.

Meanwhile, speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive of the area, Ebenezer Dadzie said it was imperative for the Assembly to put up such structures as means of mitigating the numerous challenges in the education sector.

He added that the Assembly will continue to do more since education remains the bedrock of every successful nation.

The DCE concluded by urging parents to take advantage of these interventions by sending the wards to school.
