Ledzokuku MP donates medical equipment to Teshie Community Clinic

The 60-bed facility would help alleviate the strain on the LEKMA Hospital following the demolition of the La General Hospital for reconstruction.
The GHC 2.2 million project, which is being executed by Jeoberg, a Ghanaian company, is financed through the MP’s Common Fund.
Mr. Narteh disclosed this when he donated medical equipment to the Teshie Community Clinic and Maternity Home.
The item included delivery beds, laboratory machines, a photocopier, and some other medical accessories, valued at GHC 79,000.
Mr. Narteh said he was touched to procure the items, when, during a campaign visit, he witnessed a woman in labour at the clinic, which had no bed.
He said the donation was a promise he was fulfilling, which he made during his campaign.
The MP said he would also fence the Community Clinic to prevent unscrupulous people from parading the centre for their dubious activities.
“The health needs of the people in the Constituency, and Ghana as a whole is paramount in my heart. I’ll continue to support all the health facilities in my Constituency in the ensuing years,” Mr. Nartey added.
Mr. Moses Asomani, the Administrator of the Clinic, who received the items, commended the MP for the kind gesture and called on other philanthropists, non-governmental and benevolent organisations to support the clinic.
