NBSSI/BAC introduces Mastercard Business Support

The National Board for Small Scale Industries/Business Advisory Centre (NBSSI/BAC) has introduced yet another entrepreneurship support scheme in partnership with a UK based organisation to help youth entrepreneurs and start-ups to train and equip the locals in entrepreneurship.

The Municipal Head of the NBSSI/BAC Wenchi, Miss Evelyn Yangnuu disclosed this at a ceremony to give certificates to over 40 trained Bee - Keepers. She noted that the NBSSI Master Card is one of the numerous game-changing business programmes implemented by the NBSSI/BAC, hence urged the youth to avail themselves and take advantage to benefit as it would help reduce their bustle and hustle.

Miss Evelyn Yangnuu gave more education on the project and always seek clarifications from the BAC Office;


The programme dubbed "Young Africa Works" initiated by the Master Card Foundation in the UK and cosponsored by the Government of Ghana is being implemented by the NBSSI/BAC as the lead government agency.



The project is aimed at providing employment and income opportunity for over 39, 000 young men and women as the target group through capacity building and logistical support for start-ups and business expansion.

The project has 3 key areas;
ICE - Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship to transform the talents and skill-based knowledge of young people into successful Entrepreneurs.

A-E - Apprenticeship to Entrepreneurship. This is targeted at people with technical and vocational skills to train skilled and unskilled youth.

MSME - Micro Small Medium Enterprises. This is a business acceleration programme focused on tracking the growth and developments of already existing businesses in Ghana.
