The items valued at hundreds of Ghana cedis are expected to help improve personal hygiene in an overall effort at containing and preventing the spread of the deadlier but novel coronavirus disease.

Presenting the items for and behalf of the assembly, the MCE, Hajia Ayisheitu Seidu, noted that since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country, this singular support was the third in the series including cash donation made by the assembly to the health directorate, adding, that the move is to help refurbish the holding centre to a standard set forth by the health care professionals for the management of COVID-19 patients if identified in the municipality.

She was grateful to the generality of the health care providers for their enduring sacrifices in the delivery of health care services for the benefit of the citizenry. The MCE admonished them to do more especially in hard times such as this.

Receiving the support, the municipal health Director, madam Denisia L. Agong, could not hide her excitement for the gesture. She remarked that the assembly has even given them in excess of their expectation in their effort to enhance health facility readiness to manage the pandemic.
