KRACHI W: 9 schools benefiting from SFP

Mr Douglas Osei Nti, District Chief Executive (DCE) of Krachi West in the Volta region, says about nine schools in the district are currently benefitting from the Ghana School Feeding Programme (SFP).

The schools include; Dadekro D/A Primary & K.G, Kete SDA Primary & G.K, Kete English & Arabic Primary & K.G, Gyasayor D/A Primary & K.G, Kpachu D/A Primary & K.G, Gyengyen D/A primary & KG.

The rest are Dzilakope primary & KG, Monkra D/A & KG and Old Nanasewae& KG schools.

This was made known when he was addressing cross section of Assembly-members and various Heads of Department at the assembly’s First Ordinary General Meeting at Kete-Krachi, the district capital.

Mr Nti in his presentation further revealed that the programme which began during the erstwhile Kufuor administration has significantly led to the increase in enrolment, adding that the assembly was liaising with government to expand the programme to other deprive communities.

In other developments, the Assembly has also supported the Krachi Nursing and Midwifery College by completing the next phase of the storey building project at Nkyenekyene.

The Assembly, he insisted is committed to supporting the Midwifery College to meet their numerous infrastructural needs.
