The Assembly has made major stride in this regard when it trained about 60 youth between ages of 18 and 35 and equipped them with skills soap making, mushroom growing and bee keeping.
However, to make the skills acquisition more beneficial to the people, District Chief Executive Alexander Frimpong disclosed at an assembly meeting that the Assembly is looking forward to providing all these trainees with start-up kits to enable them start their own businesses.
“That is not all, about 70 more youth will be trained in soap making, baking and confectionary (which includes pastries and yogurt making) by next week”, he added.
He called on beneficiaries to take their skills acquisition seriously in order not to join the teaming unemployed in society, having decided to take advantage of the opportunity offered them.
