He said efforts were currently being made to adequately resource the Education Directorate to be able to monitor activities of the hardworking teachers to reduce absenteeism in teachers, minimize child delinquency that will have a positive impact on learning and improve on the examination results.

The MCE disclosed this when speaking at the assembly’s second ordinary meeting. 

Touching on the “free SHS”, Mr. Kupualor added that, the new policy by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo would encourage parents to send children and also create equal opportunities for children to access secondary education.

He added the assembly will tailor programs in order to unearth the talents in school going children in the area.

“As a former sports chairman, extra-curricular activities in their schools will also be supported to develop the young talents that the Municipality is abound with” the MCE added.
