In conversation with ghanadistricts.com, Mr. Yaw Frimpong stated that, his visit to the two communities was to secure two sites/farming lands in the aim of raising one million improved cocoa seedlings to be distributed to the farmers freely every year.
He encouraged the youth to sign up to the youth in cocoa farming project initiated by the Assembly to be productive in their fields of endeavour and enjoy the benefits associated with cocoa farming in the country.
He appealed to the traditional authorities to make land available for the youth to venture into cocoa farming and reduce the rate of unemployment in the country.
Mr Frimpong said, the chiefs and their people couldn't hide their happiness. Aside building the human resource of the youth through education and skill training there is a need to empower them economically, he stated.
“I know my people and my people know me, I want to make my farmers more economically empowered for God and country”, he added.
