Kwahu South DCE commissions Bepong market

The new market facility commissioned by the Kwahu South District Executive, Emmanuel Atta Ofori Snr, comes with 96 market stalls, 8-seater toilet facility and urinals.
He commended the people of Bepong for their self-help spirit that ensured the project comes to a conclusive end.
Mr. Ofori Snr advised the traders to pay their tolls and other levies promptly to help the district assembly develop the market and also enable the Assembly build more markets in the various communities in the districts since the Bepong market remains the second largest market in the district.
He also reminded them of the need to make good use of the facility and ensure environmental cleanliness to avert the outbreak of airborne diseases.
He underscored the role of women in the development of every society, and added that government was committed to raising the living standard of women to enable them to play active role in society.
Nana Beponghene, commended the district assembly for providing them with the market, and also appealed to the people to assist the assembly in the collection of levies to enable it to provide them with their basic amenities.
Nana therefore, lauded the contributions of all individuals who contributed to the successful construction of the market.
