Dr. Lamptey in his submission admitted that, the service of the company is very important to the socio- economic growth of the Assembly and that, they should do their best to deliver power as expected of them. 

He mentioned the poor drainage system which as a result has caused many underground cables to be exposed and posing threat to the lives of people living around the areas.

He assured his support from diverse ways to the power distribution company by making available requisite facilities to help the power company serve the municipality better.

Speaking on behalf of ECG, the District engineer raised issues concerning the acquisition of land within the municipality for construction of a substation to enhance their service to the community. 

He also spoke about the replacement of some transformers and an upgrading of other transformers from 50kv to 100kv. He said the safeguarding of the transformers was also a key issue and advised that it should be treated with much urgency.

The MCE was accompanied by some heads of department.
