This initiative is to improve the educational infrastructure and access to quality education in the area, including Poase-Cement and Dodi Mempeasem who are among the over one hundred schools that have benefited from the NGO over the years.

Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive of Kadjebi assembly, Kofi Asiedu, noted that school infrastructure alone could not solve the problems and needs of the school, and that reading materials were also urgently required to help the school children to improve upon the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results in the region.

The DCE, who described the current state of the district as worrying, nonetheless, expressed hopes that the assembly was still eager to ensure that more infrastructure is done to help fulfill the current NPP- administration’s promise.

He expressed gratitude for the kind gesture and pleaded with parents to support the work of teachers by helping their wards to concentrate on their studies to enhance their academic performance.

According to Mr Anthony Quashigah, Country Director, Pencils of Promise, the organization had taken it upon itself to lessen the burden of government by providing the necessary logistics to schools in remote areas.
