Central Gonja: Assembly to do more to improve health of the vulnerable

The DCE noted that in line with this, some selected group of people including families of vulnerable children, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers have benefited from training and educational exercises that will help enhance their nutrition.
Mr. Mahama who disclosed this during the first ordinary meeting of the second session of the fourth assembly of the district held on Thursday at the assembly complex hall, indicated that the training covered some critical areas including;
· Anemia prevention and control
· Deworming of children under-five years and pregnant women
· Vitamin A supplementation
· Infant and young child feeding among others.
The DCE also assured that other areas that requires some attention to augment measured taken already to enhance the health and well-being of the citizens will be looked at for the necessary interventions.
