The two-unit classroom block, the first of its kind in the community, has an office for the head teacher, kitchen, storeroom, washroom, changing room and a fenced wall.
It was funded by GETFUND, and constructed by Nana Banahene Construction Limited, a local contractor in the Municipality.
Professor Kingsley Nyarko, the Deputy Minister of Education in charge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), who commissioned the block, acknowledged the importance of giving the Ghanaian child a sound footing in education.
According to him, the development of an individual and a nation rested on a strong early childhood education available to all children.
Prof. Nyarko, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso, said a strong educational foundation at the kindergarten level prepared children for the primary, secondary and all other levels of education, hence the need to pay particular attention to it.
“Education is the key to development of every country, this is why Government prioritised it from the basic to the tertiary level”, he noted.
He advised parents to keep firm eyes on their children and support them through their education to help them become better future leaders.
The MP appealed to all Ghanaians to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on December 7 elections, to continue its good policies for the nation.
Mrs. Grace Ofosu Boateng, the Municipal Education Director, commended the Deputy Minister for the initiative to adequately prepare children in their formative years and his continued support in improving education in the Municipality.
She assured that teachers in the school would maintain the building to prolong its lifespan.
