AMENFI W: Presentation of COVID-19 PPEs to schools

As part of efforts by the government to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic in schools, the Municipal Chief Executive of Wassa Amenfi West, George Agyiri, on June 22, 2020, presented COVID 19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to the Municipal Education Directorate.

The items included 40 Veronica buckets, 18 thermometer guns, 40 washing bowls, 74 gallons of liquid soap, 3,000 nose masks, 1,606 pieces of 200ml. sanitizers and 79 rolls of tissue papers.

This forms part of a total of 18,000 Veronica buckets, 800,000 pieces of 200ml sanitizers, 36,000 rolls of tissue paper, 36,000 gallons of liquid soap and 7, 200 thermometer guns announced by the president, H. E Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, on Sunday, June 21, 2020, on measures adopted to fight the spread of COVID 19 with regards to the reopening of schools.



Mr. George Agyiri, implored the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Solace Osei Appiah, to ensure that the prescribed safety protocols were followed in the two Secondary Schools in the municipality to curtail the spread of the infectious disease to protect students and staff from contracting the disease.
