Ga East MCE observes "My First Day At School"
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ga East Municipal Assembly (GEMA), Elizabeth Kaakie Mann, has presented various gift items to new pupils of some public basic schools in the Municipality as the Assembly and Education Directorate observe "My First Day At School".

The MCE, accompanied by the Presiding Member, Mr Jesse Nii Noi Anum, Municipal Coordinating Director MCD Mrs Vera Akuffo-Mante, and the Municipal Director of Education (MDE), Mr. Francis Steel, among other officials, toured seven (7) schools.
The schools were Abokobi Presby, Akporman Model, Kwabenya-Atomic M/A, Taifa St. Dominic Roman Catholic, Taifa Community Cluster, Kwabenya M/A Cluster and Haatso Calvary Presby.
Assembly Members for Abokobi, Taifa North and South, and Kwabenya, Moses Ola Dowuona, Patience Ofosuhene Okrah, Nana Safo Gyasi, and Bright Paul Mintah, were at the schools within their respective jurisdictions to welcome the MCE and her entourage, together with the school authorities.
Madam Kaakie Mann and her team distributed items such as kalypo drink, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, and branded exercise books, donated by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Dome-Kwabenya Constituency, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, to the children.
The visibly excited children and their teachers expressed gratitude to the Hon. MCE for coming to show them love and care as they begin their academic journey.
In an interview with the media after her presentation, the MCE admonished parents to take the education of their wards seriously since school provides an essential space for children to learn, to play, and for the development of their well-being.
The MCE also seized the opportunity to eulogize the effort of the Municipal Education Directorate for working tirelessly to raise the standard of education in the area.
Other officials in the Hon. MCE's entourage were the Municipal Internal Auditor (MIA), Mr. Daniel Tetteh, Municipal Finance Officer (MFO), Mrs. Ruby Muriel Bruce-Bortey, as well as the Head of Monitoring and Supervision, Dr. Stephen Arthur and the Public Relations Officer of the Education Directorate, Mr. Seth Anyormi.
