Juaben MCE tours schools in municipality
The Municipal Chief Executive for Juaben Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region, Kodjo Ansah-Sem has embarked on a day working visit to six (6) schools within the Juaben Municipality to monitor enrolment of fresh pupils as school resume for 2019/2020 academic year.

The occasion dubbed “My First Day At School” saw the (MCE) together with the Municipal Director of Education Mr. Charles Adu-Kumi and other representatives of Ghana Education Service (GES) to tour some selected schools in the Municipality to give words of encouragement and also welcome the newly admitted pupils at the basic school especially kindergarten and primary pupils to refresh them with an assorted drinks, biscuits and toffees.
Others received teaching and learning materials such as exercise books, pencils, sharpeners and erasers as a package of motivation from the government outfit.
Some of the schools visited were Achiase M/A Primary School, Adumase M/A Primary School, Duapompo M/A Primary School, Kubease M/A Primary School, Nobewam Presbyterian Primary school and Juaben Anglican Primary.
The (MCE) in his welcome address, Commended the New Patriotic party (NPP) government led by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo -Addo for his good educational policies such as Free Senior High School, School Feeding Programme, Capitation grant, Free School Uniforms, New Curriculum for Basic school, Infrastructure Development and above all the double track system with the objective to address the challenges of high enrolment in the various SHS after the introduction of Free SHS.
He advised the pupils to take their education seriously in order pave way for them to enjoy the Free SHS after Basic school.
The (MCE) was optimistic to see most the pupils today becoming Members of Parliament (MP’s), Municipal Chief Executives (MCE’s) Lawyers, Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Engineers, Journalists, Bankers among other professions in a near future. Since they are the future generation of the country.
On his part, the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Adu-Kumi admonished teachers to give out their maximum best to train the pupils become useful leaders for the country.
He therefore, thanked the Municipal Assembly for their readiness to tackle infrastructure problems which is the major cause of low enrollment in some schools visited
He however, cautioned parents and guardians to refrain from using the pupils for farming activities during school hours in order to guarantee them a brighter future.
Mr. Moses Boateng, Head Teacher of Achiase M/A Primary School thanked the (MCE) for the distributed items, particularly the exercise books and pencils.
He said, the distributed items would go a long way to motivate the pupils in the Municipality to be punctual at School.
