The group received the loans at the E.P Church old auditorium, Vakpo on the 11th February 2020 as part of the MASLOC’s mandate of supporting small businesses with funds to grow and to improve on people’s livelihoods.

As part of the disbursement, MASLOC officials briefed the beneficiary groups and members on loan management as well as the agreed terms and period of payment of the loan.

Again, the zonal coordinator in the person of Mr. Mawusi stressed that MASLOC mode of giving out financial support to empower people was not based on any party affiliation and urged more people to come to the organization for assistance.

Furthermore, he stressed that the repayment of the loan will start from 11th April to September 2020 where beneficiaries will be paying GH¢ 200.00 each month.

Mr. Edmund Kudjoh Attah, the District Chief Executive (DCE) urged the beneficiaries to do well to repay the loans within the given period in order to benefit more in the future since loans were revolving funds.

He assured the Assembly would make sure that the loans are fully settled within the given period in order to help others who could not benefit to also benefit.

Most of the beneficiaries expressed joy for the support given them and urged MASLOC to do more to help empower more women in the District.

Mrs. Naomi Boateng, a trader, said the loan she has received was a sign of relief adding “it would help sustain my business”. She also thanked H.E the President of the Republic and the Hon. DCE for not considering the beneficiaries based on party line.
