The current assembly has been without a Presiding Member since its inauguration in February last year.

Hon. Dindiok garnered 32 out of a total 42 votes cast representing 72.7% to beat his sole contender Elijah Donyina in the election conducted by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

Her Worship Nana Achiaa Buruwaa Ababioh, Magistrate at the Atebubu district court administered the oaths of office, allegiance and secrecy to the new Presiding Member.

In a short remark after his election, Hon. Dindiok expressed his gratitude to all for their support adding that the development of the municipality will be his priority.

Present were the Member of Parliament for Atebubu-Amantin, Hon. Sanja Nanja, the Bono East regional minister Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi, high ranking executives of the National Democratic Congress, traditional authorities, security chiefs and heads of department.
