In an interview, Mr. Samuel Nti, a concerned resident, expressed deep worry over the lack of adequate healthcare facility in the community.

“We only have a small clinic here. When there’s a serious case, they refer us to the Worawora Government Hospital. If the condition is beyond them, we are again referred to Ho. Just imagine the stress a dying patient goes through just to get proper medical attention,” he lamented.

Mr. Nti appealed directly to President John Dramani Mahama and his administration to consider the plight of Asukawkaw and its surrounding areas by providing them with a well-equipped hospital.

Another resident, Mr. Yakubu Tijani, shared similar concerns, noting that the absence of a hospital jeopardizes healthcare delivery in the community.

“The lack of a hospital is seriously affecting our access to quality healthcare. We are pleading with President Mahama to intervene and help us,” he said.

Ms. Sekyere Rejoice, a female resident, highlighted the struggles women face during childbirth due to the lack of medical infrastructure.

“Women go through a lot of difficulty during labour. We desperately need a hospital in this area,” she emphasized.

The residents unanimously stated that the most pressing challenge in Asukawkaw is the absence of a hospital.

They are therefore calling on the government to prioritize the construction of a healthcare facility to enhance access to quality medical services in the region.
