He contended that the government has not been able to fulfill any of its promises from economic revitalization to infrastructure, from stabilizing the cost of living to job creation; the people are yet to see the tangible results they were assured of.

According to him, the government’s much touted 24-Hour Economy which was sold to the public as being the vehicle to creating more jobs is yet to be seen; so people continue to struggle for decent jobs that will put food on their table.

The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament’s comments directly challenged the narrative of progress often promoted by government; particularly with the relative stability of the Cedi and the launch of the ‘Big Push’ programme – the government’s initiative to tackle infrastructure deficits in the country.

The former deputy Health Minister in the Akuffo Addo government indicated that the government’s struggle to employ the teaming health professionals, teachers and other qualified human resources presents a stuck reality of the economic challenges the government is battling with, and urged the government to up its game and work towards fulfilling its pledges to the citizenry.

He expressed believe that a New Patriotic Party government would have made remarkable strides by now if Ghanaians had maintained the party in power because they had already laid the foundation for a major take-off.
