He made the call during the 2025 Presbytery Representative Conference, held at the Global Evangelical Church, Keta branch in the region, aimed to discuss development agendas of the area.
Mr. Seade, who was one of the speakers at the conference, highlighted the significance of President John Dramani Mahama’s decision to merge the Ministries of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, describing the move as a significant one that would recognise the churches as a valuable development partner.
“The contributions of some churches including the Global Evangelical Church to education and infrastructure development is significant in building and managing schools and churches effectively,” he said.
Mr. Seade expressed commitment to working closely with religious leaders through constant stakeholder engagements and affirmed the trust in their wise counsel to support the development agendas of the municipality.
He said the experiences gathered by churches and other developmental organisations in managing institutions positioned them as a key ally in driving progress in Keta and urged other institutions to emulate the same in preaching the word of God as a transformative message.
“It is important to preach the gospel to the youth to curb the rising social vices in the municipality, the churches are to play a more active role in shaping the lives of young people”.
Mr. Seade said church-state partnership was a step towards the right direction in harnessing the strengths of both institutions, to drive development in Keta and working together could help achieve more in addressing the needs of the communities.
Mr. Richard Kwame Sefe, the Member of Parliament for the Anloga constituency, who also witnessed the occasion, said that church-state collaboration was a timely reminder of the importance of partnership in driving development.
He said collaborative work by institutions such as the state and the churches would make a positive impact in shaping the lives of the people in the communities and the initiative should be supported and embraced.
The 2025 Presbytery Representative Conference also provided a platform for stakeholders’ discussion toward promoting development in Keta while the collaboration would also achieve great things in molding the future of the Municipality.
Some Church elders were excited about the conference and expressed their readiness to work collaboratively with the government for better and more development projects, to ensure the progress of the communities and urged other church members to join hands.
The 2025 Presbytery Representative Conference was held on the theme “PREACH THE WORD” (2 Timothy 4:1-2), focusing on the transformative power of the gospel in shaping communities.
