Atwima Mponua holds thanksgiving ceremony for a peaceful election
The New Patriotic Party in Atwima Mponua held an interdenominational thanksgiving service at the D/A school Park in Nyinahin; the District capital.

Under the tutelage of the Local Council of Churches, Rev. Samuel Adu Gyamfi led the charge for a successful program that brought Nyinahin to a standstill.
Politicians, market women, farmers, businessmen, traditional leaders et al thronged the venue to make the program a success.
Chairman Kofi Marfo was grateful to all and sundry for the success in the just-ended elections. He gave his welcome address to welcome all to the eventful ceremony.
Chairman of the local council of Churches advised politicians to seek the face of God in all their endeavors. He also admonished them to eschew antagonism that has the potency to thwart any developmental agenda in the constituency. “Isaac, your name means ‘promised-son’, let your name bring Glory to Atwima Mponua and continue to be a blessing to your constituents”, he added.
Hon. Williams Darko on his part thanked the teeming supporters of the NPP fraternity for maintaining the momentum in the fight for another victory. He asked for unity and peace to champion the course of development within the constituency.
Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah on his part heaped praises on the people of Atwima Mponua for the honor done him to serve a 5th term for the constituency. He noted that such a feat is a result of hard work, diligence, selflessness, and integrity. He advised that development is the bedrock of politics so all should put their energy to the wheel for the success story of Mponua.
Again, the veteran lawmaker posited that Ghanaians have spoken, hence the need to support the Government for a noble course that will put Ghana on the international radar. “Willy-Nilly, President Akufo Addo is the chosen one for the next four years so let’s support his work for development”, he stated.
Mr. Asiamah added that the next 4yrs of the NPP Government is going to bring development to Mponua because of the bauxite. He mentioned that the Government is far advanced in seeking an international business magnate to begin the mining.
Nana Amanpene Boateng Twum II echoed the words of the Pastor and sought peace amongst the citizenry and the indigenes of the constituency for economic boom as the bauxite mining begins. “As a board member of GIADEC, we have many plans for Mponua and very soon, the youth shall eat the good of their Labour”, he stated.
The Presbyterian church choir gave melodious and ear-pleasing tunes to make the program a success.
