The items included 10 knapsack Sprayers, 10 wellington boots and 5 cutlasses.

Mr. Kofi Boakye, Head of Business Development at the bank said it had been a normal practice for the bank all these years to donate agriculture inputs and items to the Municipal Assembly to help celebrate farmers’ days.

He explained that the items were their widow’s mite to ensure that the Assembly organized a successful celebration, and promised that the institution would be ready anytime the Assembly calls on them for assistance.

He commended all farmers in the area for a good job done in the year so far. He challenged them not to relent on their oars but keep working hard to earn a living. He said farming today has become a serious business just like any other vocation. Farmers eventually need to have a plan in place backed by requisite funds to make it big, he added.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Mensah on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive received the item and thanked Akuapem Rural Bank for the donation. He called on other corporate bodies, individuals to emulate the goodwill of the bank and hope they will continue helping the Assembly in subsequent occasions.

He said the items would help in no small way to motivate deserving farmers and the general farming fraternity to work extra hard.

Putting the icing on the cake, the Municipal MoFA Director, Mr. Nathan Aboagye could not but applauded the kind gesture by the bank. He threw a special invitation to the Rural Bank to throng the celebration ground in their numbers and that the occasion was going to be celebrated right under their nose at Mamfe.

He asked the delegation to send the Assembly’s gratitude to the board.
