Ahafo Ano South West DCE Embarks on Massive Project Inspection Tour Across District
The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South West, Abubakar Sedik, has led a high-level inspection tour of ongoing development projects across the district as part of efforts to ensure quality delivery and accelerate infrastructural development.

The two-day monitoring exercise, conducted on April 22 and 23, 2026, saw the DCE and a team of officials undertake site meetings across several communities to assess project progress and address implementation challenges.
Communities visited during the inspection included Asuokor Oseikrom, Adiembra, Mpasaso I and II, Oseikrom, Wioso, Barniekrom, Kunsu, Afreseni, Sikafrebogya, Mankranso, and Asuoabena.
The team inspected a wide range of projects spanning education, health, water, and sanitation sectors aimed at improving living conditions within the district.
Among the projects inspected were boreholes with hand pumps at Asuokor Oseikrom, Adiembra, and Mankranso, classroom blocks at Manhyia D/A Basic School, Mpasaso II D/A Primary, Oseikrom D/A Primary, and Kunsu SDA Basic School.
The delegation also visited the construction of a community centre at Mpasaso I, institutional toilet facilities at Wioso, Barniekrom, Kunsu, Afreseni, and Mankranso, as well as a CHPS compound and staff quarters at Afreseni.
Other projects inspected included a mechanised borehole at Sikafrebogya and a high-capacity water system project at Mankranso Senior High School.
Health infrastructure development also featured prominently during the exercise, with the team inspecting the construction of male, female, and children’s wards including an isolation room at the Wioso Health Centre.
Speaking during the tour, Hon. Abubakar Sedik expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work on most of the project sites and commended contractors for their commitment to delivering the projects.
He assured contractors of the Assembly’s readiness to honour payment obligations promptly upon successful completion of works and stressed the Assembly’s determination to ensure that all projects meet the required standards.
The District Works Engineer, Beatrice Oteng, also praised the quality of work executed so far but disclosed that a few minor defects had been identified and corrective directives issued to contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
The inspection exercise forms part of the Assembly’s broader strategy to strengthen supervision, promote accountability, ensure value for money, and accelerate socio-economic development across the Ahafo Ano South West District.
