The two projects, according to information gathered by Ghanadistricts.com are at advanced stages of completion.
The facilities, when completed and handed over for use are expected to go a long way to ensure that island communities in the district have access to comprehensive and quality health delivery without having to travel to the district capital.
Addressing Assembly-members and other Heads of Department at its First Ordinary General Assembly Meeting, District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Douglas Osei Nti however, noted that the facility at Aglakope is facing some challenges, adding that the contract had to be terminated and re-awarded.
He further announced that the assembly was on the verge of putting up a new Community Health Planning Service (CHPS) compound at Dadekro, a community in the district.
Meanwhile, the Assembly, according to Mr Nti has offered support to aid the completion of the next phase of the story building project at Nkyenekyene. He added that the Assembly was still committed to supporting the Midwifery College to meet their infrastructural needs.
