NCCE Holds parliamentary dialogue in Sene East

The Sene East district office of the National Commission for Civic Education has held a dialogue in Kajaji aimed at offering Parliamentary aspirants in the Sene East constituency a platform to share their visions and plans with the electorate and for voters to be able to make informed choices during the forthcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Mr. Ibrahim Wudonyin of the New Patriotic Party NPP who was the only candidate present answered questions on six main areas namely: education, employment, health, roads, agriculture and the economy.

He said he will prioritize the posting of more teachers as well as see to a number of needs affecting basic education in the constituency if elected.

On employment, the parliamentary aspirant promised to get a number of youth in the constituency employed in various sectors of the economy.

Mr. Wudonyin said under his chairmanship of the party in the constituency he was able to lobby for an agenda 111 hospital project which is about 75% complete currently and will work to see its speedy completion if voted into office.

On roads, he promised to take advantage of the District Road Improvement Programme DRIP facilities to construct more roads in the constituency if elected.

He promised to get the constituency a bigger and more modern market to help accommodate the numerous traders who patronize the existing one from both near and afar.

On agriculture the aspirant promised to procure three tractors to augment whatever central government will provide the constituency to ensure that tractor services remain within the reach of the people who are predominantly farmers.

Participants asked a number of questions mainly on developmental challenges facing the constituency to which he aspirant provided answers.

Mr. Wudonyin affirmed his commitment to peace before, during and after the elections.

Hon. Dominic Napari the incumbent National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament for the constituency and the only other contestant could not honor the invitation.
