DCE supports learning of ICT in Hemang Lower Denkyera
The District Chief Executiveof the Hemang Lower Denkyira Assembly in the Central Region, Emmanuel Kojo Nanah has handed over a number of computers to two senior high schools in the area as well as some communities in the district.

Provided by the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC), the computers are to promote the teaching and learning of ICT among students.
It also formed part of the assembly's commitment in promoting enhanced research based learning and teaching among students and researchers.
The Beneficiaries included: Jukwa Senior High School and Hemang Senior High School as well as Bobi and Ankaako communities.
Mr. Nanah during a presentation at the Jukwa Senior High School, noted that the provision of the computers was part of the assembly's determination to partner with relevant agencies to promote education in the district.
He explained that his outfit was working assiduously to improve on educational infrastructure in the district.
According to him, the area stands to lose out of stakeholders neglect the promotion of education among the citizenry.
Mr. Nanah further stated the need for students not to use the internet for negative activities but use it in advancing their studies.
Students must refrain from using the internet for fraudulent activities and the promotion of promiscuous lifestyles but use it for their personal development", he said.
The assistant headmistress of Jukwa Senior High School, Ms. Theodora Pobee-Orleans, in her remarks thanked GIFEC and the assembly for the support in resourcing the school's ICT laboratory.
She explained that, previously, the students used only six computers for the teaching and learning of ICT, saying "this has come to us as a huge relief since the burden of struggling for more computers for the ICT laboratory has been reduced.
She however appealed for the provision of additional computers to meet the need of the growing student population.
She further appealed to the assembly to help renovate the roof of the assembly which started leaking as a result of the installation of the electricity connection to the facility.
