Ho to become top tourist destination

The Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Nelson Akorli has said the Assembly is set to embark on a beautification project to give the Municipality a facelift to make Ho a tourist destination.

In line with that, the Assembly will soon enforce bylaws and crack whip on illegally sited building and structures.

The MCE addressing members at a Town Hall meeting said, the Municipality was fast growing due to the beautiful environment, warm hospitality, festivals, culture and traditions of the area, adding that the Assembly will grow the local economy and give a new face to the Volta Regional capital.

He indicated that the Assembly would pull down unauthorized structures and clear buildings along water ways to pave way for the planting of ornamental and fruit trees at designated areas to create environment of leisure for tourists and make Ho live to its billing of the new “oxygen city of Ghana".
