Minister visits 1D1F Project, Tanoso

The Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Evans Opoku Bobie has paid a working visit to a ceramic factory under construction under the one district, one factory (1D1F) programme at Tanoso in the Tano North municipality.

The visit was to inspect progress of work carried so far.

Mr Carl Christian Lokko, the Chief Executive Officer of Rhovanni Royal Limited, owners of the company stated during the visit that, the factory when completed will produce bricks, including perforated ones, cooler, porcelain and different types of tiles from other clay products with a final produce of 125 tons a day.

Again, the factory is expected to employ 1,800 people including 100 university and polytechnic graduates upon completion.

Mr Lokko further said the company has acquired 27.79 acres of land for the project and it is in partnership with a foreign partner.

The Minister, Mr Bobie inspected a construction of an administrative blocks for managers, middle level managers and other staff which are underway and it will be ready within six months including the all required equipment for the project to take off, stated the CEO.

Mr Bobie, was enthused about progress of work at the centre. He said with the help of the government, the company has received a facility from the Chinese Exim Bank for the project.

He thanked the CEO and all for the massive job executed.
